Renovation and expansion of three floors for the German consulate general
The 13 storey office building in a Brazilian modern style accommodates the French consulate general and Institute français among others. For the needs of the German consulate general the second floor is converted to house the pass and visa centre, the 12th floor to accommodate the administration and the 13th floor for the executive level. The 13th floor will be raised through a representative lightweight structure. The implementation of the building works in the quality required by the client with local construction companies was the biggest challenge for the planner. Another challenge for the client was the definition and coordination of adopted guidelines and norms in an existing building built in Brazilian standard.
